The Owensboro Community and Technical College has an exciting way to access a multitude of software applications – both on and off campus! Using recently acquired Citrix technology and your campus login account, OCTC students have free, anytime access to virtual desktops, applications, and personal files from any computer with Internet access.

On campus, most computer labs already have the software you need. To use MyCyberPort off campus, you’ll need to perform a one-time installation of Citrix “client” software located here http://www.citrix.com/lang/English/lp/lp_2309126.asp.
Select your computer’s operating system (Windows, Mac OS, etc…) and run the install. After completing the install, simply click on one of the links below.

Welcome to the OCTC my cyber port virtual desktop. In order to use the my cyber port virtual desktop, you must first download and install the citrix receiver to your device. Simply choose which operating system you would need, be it windows or apple ios for example. Click download, download manager will appear. When you click download now, if you see a pop up box appear on your browser, simply right click on this message and allow it by clicking install now. Now you must go back and click download now again to initiate the download install.
Simply save the file to your downloads or desktop or documents section, and the download speed will vary based on your internet connection speed. when the download has completed, simply click on the launch button to initiate the installation of the file. Upon successful installation of the citrix receiver file, you should see a logon screen as shown above. Simply put in your network account id and password and click log on. Select the desktop tab and click on the Windows 7 monitor screen to launch your virtual desktop. Carefully read the disclaimer and click ok. In a short period of time, your virtual desktop will appear and you are free to begin work on the octc my cyber port virtual environment.
