OCTC RAD Students Achieve 100% Pass Rate
Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) had twelve students graduate with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Radiography in May. These students must also successfully pass a national professional licensure exam administered by American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in order to gain employment in the field. The students from OCTC achieved a 100% first time pass rate on the exam. The program has achieved a 100% first time pass rate in 10 of the past 11 years.
"This is a true testament to the dedication of the students in the program, the faculty that teach the program, and the folks who work with the students in the clinical setting. It speaks volumes about the quality of the graduates and the program." said OCTC President, Dr. Scott Williams.
Dr. Joy Menser, coordinator for the radiography program added, "Our students excel in technical and patient care skills. Their dedication makes out program an elite one. We are extremely proud of this achievement."
