Educators are invited to participate in a professional development event hosted by the National Science Foundation funded Mechatronics program at Owensboro Community and Technical College.
On June 18 and 19 participants will learn about opportunities to excite students about STEM subjects. Classroom kits provided to participants include hands-on activities for students that engage learning.
Information will be provided about the FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge, robotics competitions designed to motivate middle and high schools students to study science and technology subjects. Session topics include mechanical, electrical and computer systems.
Participants are provided with a $200 stipend, meals and travel expenses. For more information about this or other opportunities with the NSF funded Mechatronics program contact Katie Walker at firstname.lastname@example.org 270-852-8616.
