Owensboro Community and Technical College art students participated in the colleges fall semester student art exhibition.
Justin Cecil, earned a Merit Award, for Heron In Flight, a Wire Sculpture; Kelsey Fannin, earned a Merit Award, for Satin, a Charcoal Drawing; Amanda Hagan, earned a Merit Award, for Fish Wind Chime, a Ceramic Sculpture; Alyson Johnson, earned a Merit Award, for Untitled (Carrousel Horse), a Graphite Drawing; Jordan Teal, earned a Purchase Award, for Sticks, a Charcoal Drawing; Justin Cecil, earned a Purchase Award, for Blue Heron Box, a Ceramic Box.
The awards were selected by an independent juror from student work submitted for the exhibition at the Dayman Gallery. OCTC Professor of Art Monty Helm said the exhibition has become a tradition enjoyed by everyone on campus.It supports the artistic and creative endeavors of our students. This is usually their first art competition, Helm said.
