Owensboro Community amp; Technical Colleges Discover College will host the second annual Engineering Expo Generation Innovation on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. in OCTCs Advanced Technology Center located at 4800 New Hartford Road to celebrate the Project Lead the Way sponsorship.

Project Lead the Way is a program that provides high school students who are interested in engineering, biomechanics, aeronautics, and other applied math and science arenas with real-world learning and hands-on experiences. OCTC currently has over 100 high school students taking courses in various engineering areas through the Discover College dual enrollment program.

During this event engineers from the community will have the opportunity to showcase demonstrations and activities designed to interest and inspire these students. A main purpose of the event is to highlight what types of jobs will be available to engineers in the future.
