OCTCs OAK ISLAND PLAYERS PRESENT The Kids Left. The Dog Died. Now What?

Owensboro Community amp; Technical Colleges (OCTC) Oak Island Theatre is presenting the delightful musical comedy The Kids Left. The Dog Died. Now What by Carole Caplan-Lonner on Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. in Blandford Lecture Hall, located in the Humanities building on the main campus at 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro. The play looks at the AARP generation from empty nesters through the sandwich generation and at almost everything in between. This production takes a light-hearted, yet gentle look at the challenge of aging gracefully.

Dr. Connie Ford is the musical director, Ann Jeannette Pierce is providing the accompaniment, and the show is choreographed by Joy Bowlds. The ensemble for the production includes Corey Marchand, Alex Macke, and Jared Norris, all OCTC students scheduled to graduate in May with an Associate in Fine Arts degree in Theatre;additional actors include OCTC students Valerie McCrary, Drevonte Moorman, Aaron Payne, Brian Storm, Louisa Torres, and Casey Zoglmann; guest appearances include OCTC faculty, staff, and community members Debbie Williams, Kitty Torres, Barb Tipmore, David Martin and Court Lewis. The production is family-friendly. Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for students and general admission is $7.50.
