GIFTS IN KIND

OCTC offers multiple ways to give your time as a volunteer, as well as your space or venue and equipment. Your “gifts in kind” can be a customized approach that fits your interests and availability. Contact us to learn more about these opportunities!

GIVE RIGHT AWAY!

  • You can give an immediate donation through cash, credit card, or check. Cash should be delivered to the OCTC Foundation, Inc. office in the Administration Building at OCTC’s Main Campus. Credit cards can be used through our online payment portal (please, note there is a fee you can pay at the time of donation). Checks can be made out to “OCTC Foundation, Inc.” and either delivered to OCTC Main Campus or mailed to the following address:

  • You can submit a transfer of stock or real property. Contact Cadie Underwood regarding details of transferring stock or property to the OCTC Foundation, Inc. You can reach Cadie via email at cadie.underwood@kctcs.edu or 270-686-4663.
  • Or you can sponsor programs, events, or scholarship of your choice. Potential scholarship opportunities include the Grant G. Talbott, III Annual 5K/Road Race, the Annual Donor/Supporter Celebration, student activities and events, the Annual Girls Empowerment Trailblazer Dinner, and more!
  • Donations can also be pledged and payments stretched over a period of months or years until complete. If this is something you’d be interested in, please contact us now!

Endowments

  • Endowments are an investment in the future. With an endowed gift, you provide permanent support for a scholarship, program, or service of your choice. Your gift is invested and the annual income used to support student success.
  • Some endowments have the potential to be matched by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System upon establishment.
  • An endowment may be named after a loved one, friend, or business.

Planned Gifts

Planned gifts include bequests through a will, retirement plan assets, charitable trusts, life insurance, investments, and estate gifts. Planned gifts can be made now or deferred to a later time.

CHARGE “IT” TO YOUR GERMAN AMERICAN BANK SPIRIT CARD!

“It” being your everyday purchases! We’ve partnered with German American Bank which now proudly offers an OCTC Spirit Card as an option for their customers. Each swipe of the debit card earns $0.02 to help support OCTC students. Visit a local German American Bank location to get your OCTC Spirit Card!

The Power of OCTC Annual Campaign

Since 1986, partners like you have supported resources for 84,882 students as they pursued their educational goals to earn certificates, diplomas, and degrees to enter healthcare, business, industry, technology, and public service fields. In 2022-2023, we were able to support scholarships for 178 students in the total amount of $215,233. Approximately 78% of our students receive financial assistance as they pursue their degree.

All gifts, no matter the size, are appreciated and valued.

You can partner with OCTC to "Ensure Student Success" by making a gift to the OCTC Foundation in support of:

  • Scholarships
  • One of the Many Educational Programs at OCTC
  • Emergency Financial Assistance
  • Professional Development for Faculty and Staff
  • Unrestricted Funds to be used where most needed

Partners of OCTC develop a lasting relationship with OCTC, "Ensuring Student Success" and further assist the college to meet the needs of the student, the community, and business and industry.

Giving Tuesday - December 3, 2024

Mark your calendars! We are asking you to partner with us for student success on Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2024! Because of partners like you, OCTC students have scholarship opportunities, access to emergency student loan funds, equipment, supportive services and so many additional educational programs. OCTC is the community's college. Your generosity truly creates a Better Life for our students and their families.

KCTCS Giving Day - April 25, 2024

The entire Kentucky Community & Technical College system is hosting its very first KCTCS Giving Day on April 25, 2024!

Purchase Legacy Bricks

The OCTC Foundation, Inc. is currently selling Legacy Bricks that will be permanently placed in front of OCTC's Industry Innovation Center. The opportunity is upon us to leave an everlasting display of pride and commitment to Owensboro Community and Technical College that will last a lifetime.

You have the option to purchase a customized 8x8 brick at $250 or an 8x4 brick at $100. Quantities are limited, so order your brick today! Your purchase will not only become a permanent part of OCTC but will help to support our Foundation for years to come.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. Kroger Community Rewards supports the OCTC Foundation through your Kroger Plus Card. Visit Kroger Community Rewards today, sign in or create an account, and choose the OCTC Foundation as your preferred organization! For every eligible purchase you make using your Kroger Plus card, Kroger will donate to the OCTC Foundation.

OCTC Restaurant Nights

Join us for lunch, dinner, a snack, or a smoothie for our “OCTC Restaurant Nights!” A restaurant night is a collaborative initiative where we team up with a local restaurant to host a special fundraising event. During this event, a predetermined percentage of your purchase made at the restaurant goes directly towards supporting the OCTC Foundation, Inc. fund. It’s an opportunity for members of our community to enjoy a delicious meal while also contributing to a meaningful cause. Pathfinder Pantry

We accept:

  • Non-perishable canned and boxed foods
  • New or unopened personal care and hygiene products
  • Monetary donations, which help to keep our shelves full and replenish higher need items.
