Over $194,000 in scholarships provided by donors to OCTC students for 2022-2023 is the power of the OCTC Foundation, Inc. annual campaign!

The majority of OCTC students rely heavily, if not entirely, on financial aid. Investing in an existing scholarship fund or creating your own scholarship allows you to make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of our students.

Scholarships can also be created to honor the legacy of a loved one or leave a legacy that reflects your values. Scholarships can be customized to support students from a specified region, program of study, or other parameter.

Gifts of any amount can be made to existing scholarship funds by making an online donation here.

Meeting Students Where They Are When They Need It

A student’s success in college is often dependent on a variety of circumstances, many of which may be outside their direct control. Medical challenges, employment changes, childcare needs, and financial emergencies can impact whether a student stays on track to achieve their goals. Our Student Emergency Fund gives students a way to solve the problems that stand in the way of their continued education.

The OCTC Student Emergency Fund supports student success by removing obstacles resulting from an unforeseen financial emergency that, without assistance, would prevent a student from continuing their education. The Student Emergency Fund is funded entirely through generous support of individuals, grants, and corporate donations.

The Pathfinder Pantry is open to any OCTC student experiencing food insecurity or hunger.

Located on the lower level of the Campus Center building on OCTC’s main campus, the Pathfinder Pantry serves OCTC students through providing food and personal care items. There are no qualifications for access to the pantry other than being an OCTC student.

Save the Date for the 38th Annual 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024!

Road raceThe “Annual Road Race” is named in honor of Grant G. “GG” Talbott, III who served as a counselor at OCTC for 10 years after retiring from Owensboro High School. He was a friend and mentor to many during his lifelong commitment to education. Talbott coordinated the road race from 1998 through 2007, and the race has grown to be one of the longest continuing races in the region.

We have been fortunate to have the race sponsored each year by various businesses and organizations including, but not limited to Owensboro Municipal Utilities, Don Moore Automotive, Champion Ford, Daviess County Agriculture Extension Service, Chick-fil-A, Great Harvest Bread Company, Five Star Food Service, City of Owensboro, and the YMCA.

If you are interested in sponsoring this event, please contact Cadie Underwood via email at cadie.underwood@kctcs.edu or call (270) 686-4663. If you are interested in contributing towards the OCTC Grant G. Talbott Scholarship, which assists students experiencing dire financial need, you can do so online.
