Male graduate hold his daughter with a sign saying My daddy is a 2025 Grad. Are you a working parent who's been dreaming about going back to school, but worried it just won't fit into your jam-packed life? At Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC), we understand the unique challenges adult learners face. That's why we've designed our programs to be as flexible and affordable as possible.

Flexible Options to Fit Your Life

Between work and family obligations, we know traditional college schedules often just don't work for busy parents. No need to worry - at OCTC, you can choose from fully online programs or hybrid options that combine the convenience of online learning with hands-on experiences.

Some of our online programs are perfect for working adults:

  • Business Administration
  • Medical Information Technology
  • Healthcare Facilities Leadership
  • Integrated Early Childhood Education

Many of our technical programs are also structured with working students in mind, with 2-day a week options available. Our advisors will work with you one-on-one to create a personalized schedule that suits your life.

Graduate Debt-Free

As a parent, the last thing you need is a huge student loan bill. The good news? 87% of OCTC students graduate with zero educational debt. And overall, our tuition rates are about 60% less than what you'd pay at a four-year college. You can advance your education and career without breaking the bank or burdening your family with debt.

It's Time to Invest in You

You work hard for your family every day. Going back to school is an investment in yourself and a better future for you and your kids. And with OCTC's affordable and flexible programs, that investment is within reach, even with your busy schedule.

Classes start January 12, so the time to act is now! Get started today by applying online at www.owensboro.kctcs.edu or visiting the START Center on our main campus at 4800 New Hartford Road. Our friendly staff is ready to help you every step of the way.

You've got this! Let OCTC help you unlock your potential while still rocking your roles as parent and provider. Your future is waiting.
