Boyd Earns CMPI Certification

Owensboro Community and Technical Colleges Vicki Boyd, Director of Adult Education Services in the SkillTrain department, has recently become a Certified Manager in Program Improvement (CMPI). This national certification is the first of its kind in the adult education and literacy field and signifies Boyd as a member of an elite group of professional managers. To receive this credential, Academy participants must meet the requirements of an intensive two-year training program and complete a program improvement project within their organization or agency. Kentucky is one of only nine states in which adult educators have achieved this national certification.
