Build your future with the new Cornerstone Program

Students who want to become doctors, dentists or pharmacists can start at Owensboro Community and Technical College and save thousands on their education through the new Cornerstone Program.

Cornerstone is designed for motivated students looking for a rigorous curriculum to help them meet their goals without massive student loan debt. Students who start at OCTC and Go2Transfer can save approximately $17,000 to $22,000 in tuition costs.

This exciting new program will allow students to start at OCTC and transfer with confidence to work toward bachelors degrees and eventually doctorates of medicine, dentistry or pharmacy, said Scott Williams, OCTC vice president of academic affairs. We would encourage these students to earn the maximum number of credit hours here at OCTC.

OCTC is a tremendous value for recent high school graduates, college students who return home after starting at a 4-year university and others who want a career in these fields. With tuition rates and student loans on the rise, it is more important than ever for students to get the best value possible.

We are looking forward to making this program available to students in our region. Our goal is to make Cornerstone the best value available anywhere by providing high quality instruction that is very affordable, Williams said.

Cornerstone will begin this fall. To learn more, go to http://owensboro.kctcs.edu/Academics/Cornerstone.aspx or contact Sydney Stauter at sydney.stauter@kctcs.eduor (270) 852-8967.
