Impact 100 Owensboro and Canteen Service honored by KCTCS

KCTCS hosted the 13th annual Presidents Gala and Benefactors Awards Dinner on Saturday, October 27, at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

Impact 100 Owensboro and Canteen Service Company of Owensboro were among those recognized for their contributions to Owensboro Community and Technical College.

We are proud to see Impact 100 and Canteen Service honored during this prestigious event. Both have made significant investments in OCTC, and their contributions will have a lasting impact on our students, said OCTC President James Klauber. We must have the support of the community to fulfill our mission, and we are grateful for what Impact 100 and Canteen Service have done for the college.

Impact 100 awarded OCTC a $103,500 grant that was used to develop the Math Emporium Lab at OCTCs downtown campus. Canteen contributes annually to a scholarship fund, honoring a pledge made by former Canteen owner Jerry Haase, who passed away in 2010.

More than 600 state and local dignitaries from across the Commonwealth attended the gala. This event provides an opportunity for KCTCS to honor an impressive list of 28 of the states leading individuals, business, and foundations for their generous philanthropic and voluntary support to KCTCS.
