KLAUBER INAUGURATED AS FIFTH PRESIDENT AT OWENSBORO COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE
Greenwood native and former state representative, James. S. Klauber, Sr., Ph.D., was formally inaugurated as the fifth president of Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) in Owensboro, Kentucky in a ceremony held March 29, 2011. OCTC is one of the 16 community and technical colleges that make up the Kentucky Community amp; Technical College System (KCTCS). Klauber assumed the duties of president of OCTC in July 2010. Dr. Klauber is the perfect match for what we need now, said Dr. Michael B. McCall, President of KCTCS.
During the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Jim Klauber received a tribute from his native state of South Carolina. His former employer, Dr. Lex Walters, president emeritus of Piedmont Technical College, acting on behalf of former Governor Mark Sanford presented him with South Carolinas highest civilian honor, The Order of the Palmetto. Although we miss you in South Carolina, I am sure that at Owensboro Community and Technical College your record of achievement and success will continue.
