Owensboro Community amp; Technical Colleges Dr. Marc Maltby, has been named the
2010 Optimist of the Year at the Owensboro Noon Optimist Banquet on September 23,
2010. Maltby is a Professor of History and also serves as division chair for the Social
Sciences, Business amp; Public Services disciplines at Owensboro Community amp; Technical
College. Maltby edits the Optimists monthly newsletter
The Optimist Network and serves as the President for the World Affairs Council. Maltby was also named
as Optimist of the Year in 2007.
