OAK ISLAND THEATRE PRESENTS 4 ONE-ACT COMEDIES
Owensboro Community and Technical Colleges Oak Island Theatre presents You Know I Cant Hear You When the Waters Running a series of one-act plays written by Robert Anderson presented in cooperation with Dramatists Play Service, Inc. This collection of one act comedies will take place Thursday and Friday, November 6-7 at 7 p.m. in Blandford Lecture Hall, located in the Humanities Building on the main campus of OCTC at 4800 New Hartford Road. OCTCs Oak Island Theatre is a collaborative group of faculty, staff, students and community members.The Stories: THE SHOCK AND RECOGNITION breaks in on a difference of opinion between an earnest young dramatist and his matter of fact producer who doesnt like the opening moment of the play. THE FOOTSTEPS OF DOVES follows a couple who, wed twenty-five years, come to a store to pick out a new bed or beds. Should they buy twin beds or a double? ILL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS is a serious and touching look at parents discussing the sex education of their almost-adult children. IM HERBERT is an encounter with two older folks sitting on a porch, in a pair of rocking chairs, talking.
