OCTC Alum Schartung Print Exhibit

An exhibition of prints by artist, John Schartung is on display in the Dayman Gallery through February 18, 2011. The exhibit includes 30 recent prints including a selection of Chigiri-e prints, a technique incorporating torn Japanese paper into the work itself. Schartung is currently finishing his Masters of Arts Degree in Printmaking and Painting at Indiana State University, Terre Haute. He received an Associates of Arts Degree from OCTC in 2007 and a Bachelors of Science at the University of Southern Indiana in 2009. Schartung has received numerous awards for his work and is a member of the Mid America Print Council and the Southern Graphic Council. The Dayman Gallery is located on the second floor of the Learning Center at the OCTC main campus. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday 8 to 7 pm and Friday 8 to 4 pm.
