OCTC, Brescia Caritas Sign MOU

Owensboro Community and Technical College President, Dr. Jim Klauber, and Brescia University President, Fr. Larry Hostetter and Dr. Martin Bednar of Caritas College of Social Work in Olomuc, Czech Republic will solidify a Memorandum of Understanding to expand the current partnership that exists between the institutions. On Monday, November 12, OCTC officials along with Brescia University leaders will hold a ceremonial signing of the agreement at 10 a.m. in OCTCs Administration Building Board Room, located at 4800 New Hartford Road. "Brescia University is a vital piece of the puzzle for our students, commented Dr. Klauber, "providing housing opportunities and the option of a four-year degree is essential to the programs success.

Collaboration between institutions of higher learning is always beneficial to students. This new agreement will ensure that those students who want to transfer to Brescia University will be able to do so as seamlessly as possible, said Fr. Larry.

It has been a pleasure to work with together, to build an international partnership for the benefit of students who wish to pursue a career in Social Work, said Greta McDonough, the coordinator for the Human Services program at OCTC.
