OCTC Celebrates with Inaugural and Anniversary Activities

Owensboro, KY (March 24, 2011) Owensboro Community amp; Technical College is celebrating its 25th Anniversary and hosting an Inauguration Ceremony for its fifth president, Dr. James S. Klauber, Sr. with activites on Tuesay, March 29, 2011.

The festivities will begin with an Inaugural Luncheon from 11AM-1PM for students, faculty and staff in the Chandler Conference Center, located on the first floor of the Advanced Technology Center. The inauguration Ceremony will begin at 5:30 PM in Cannon Hall at the RIverPark Center. Dr. Michael B. McCall, president of the Kentucky Community amp; Technical College System, will be on hand to commend the investiture of office. There will be a reception in the RiverPark Center lobby immediately following the inauguration ceremony.

Following the reception is a ticketed dinner event to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Owensboro Community amp; Techncial College. The dinner is a fundraiser for scholarships. The Student Opera Group from the University of Kentucky are slated to perform during this event. Reservations are needed for the dinner portion of the event. The other events are free and the public is welcome to attend.
