OCTC CHORUS HOSTS SPRING CONCERT

The Owensboro Community and Technical College Chorus will present a spring concert on Monday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m. at Third Baptist Church, 527 Allen Street. In its twenty-ninth year under the direction of Professor of Music Connie Ford and accompanied by piano instructor Angela Bruce, this community chorus will perform works from the Baroque Period to the present by composers that include Handel, Alessandro Scarlatti, Brahms, De Cormier, and Paulus. The concert will include a variety of works representing, among other genres, the Baroque oratorio, the Romantic motet, the African-American spiritual, and the American Southern Harmony and Shaker traditions. Members of the chorus include community members, high school and college students, and college faculty. The concert is free and open to the public.
