OCTC HOSTING CRICKET GIRL SCOUT EXPO - SATURDAY, APRIL 2, MAIN CAMPUS

Owensboro Community amp; Technical College in conjunction with the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, Pennyroyal Service Center will be presenting the Sixth Annual Cricket Girl Scout Expo on Saturday, April 2, 2016. The Cricket Girls Scout Expo is named in memory of Loretta (Cricket) Mostaccio who was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Camp Leader for decades, it will be held on the main campus of OCTC at 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro. Mastaccio impacted the lives of thousands of girls and her work will be continued at this event. Dozens of girls are expected to attend from a number of troops throughout the region.

The Cricket Girl Scout Expo be a daylong event where Daisies (K-1st grader), Brownies (2nd - 3rd graders), and Juniors (4th - 5th graders) will experience a number of programs and can earn up to four badges or patches in everything from chemistry, pet care, robotics, senses, bones and anatomy, first aid, medical careers, bugs, gardening, to the science of detecting and much more. The programs are being presented by OCTC students and OCTC faculty.
