OCTC Hosting Cricket Girl Scout Expo

Owensboro Community amp; Technical College in conjunction with the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, Pennyroyal Service Center presented the First Annual Cricket Girl Scout Expo. The Expo is named in memory of Loretta (Cricket) Mostaccio who was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Camp Leader for decades. She impacted the lifes of thousands of girls and her work will be continued at this event. Over 100 girls are expected to attend from a number of troops throughout the region.

The Cricket Girl Scout Expo is an all day event where Brownies (2nd - 3rd graders) and Juniors (4th - 5th graders) experience a number of programs and can earn up to four badges. The programs are being presented by over 20 members of the OCTC faculty, staff, administration and students. There are 35 workshops in a wide variety of topics being offered throughout the day.

It is also being supported by the Kappa Delta Sorority at Kentucky Wesleyan College.
