Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) will host a reception for interim
president, Dr. Larry Durrence on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 4:30-6 p.m. in the Campus
Center located on the main campus at 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro, in gratitude
for all his efforts during the search process. This is Durrences second term as interim
president at OCTC, and he plans to return to his home in Lakeland, Florida. I have
enjoyed my tenure in Owensboro and will miss my friends here; however, I am excited
for the college and our communities because Dr. Williams will provide continuity for
current projects while also providing the vision and leadership to make this outstanding
college even better, commented Durrence. Dr. Williams will take the reins at OCTC
beginning June 1. The reception is free and open to the public.
