OCTC Hosts Transfer Fair

More than a dozen colleges and universities will participate in Owensboro Community and Technical College's second annual Transfer Fair on Tuesday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the college's Advanced Technology Center, Room 107 on the Main Campus at 4800 New Hartford Road.

Colleges scheduled to participate in the event include: Brescia University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Lindsey Wilson College, Indiana Wesleyan, Campbellsville University, Bellarmine College, Murray State University, University of Phoenix, University of Louisville, University of Southern Indiana, Mid-Continent University, Georgetown College and Western Kentucky University.

The fair, sponsored by the OCTC Career Resource amp; Transfer Center offers local students first-hand information about how to transfer to four-year institutions to pursue a baccalaureate degree. Items of interest that will be covered include: How academic credits transfer from OCTC to a four-year institution; How and where to apply for financial aid; The majors offered at four-year Kentucky institutions and related to specific majors; What campus life is like at the four-year institutions; and How to Apply for Housing.
