OCTC Scholarship Deadline, April 1st, 2015

Owensboro Community amp; Technical Colleges 2015-2016 Scholarship Application is available in the Financial Aid office in the Campus Center on the Main Campus at 4800 New Hartford Road or online at http://www.owensboro.kctcs.edu/Costs_and_Financial_Aid/Financial_Aid_Forms.aspx. The scholarship brochure provides information on all of the scholarships offered through OCTC including criteria for each scholarship and award amounts.

In addition to completing the application, each applicant must file a 2015-2016 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) and submit one letter of recommendation from a non-relative to be considered for any scholarships. If a specific scholarship requires more than one letter of recommendation or requires a separate application, it is clearly stated in the scholarship application. The deadline for the 2015-2016 Scholarship Application is April 1, 2015. Applications received after April 1, will be considered only if additional funds are available. Students who received scholarships for the 2014-2015 academic year must reapply.

Also, please consider applying for the OCTC Access to STEM Scholarship. OCTC received a grant from the National Science Foundation to implement this project designed to increase the pool of skilled technicians in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through the grant, OCTC is awarding approximately 17-20 scholarships annually to promising students pursuing the fields of study. Selected scholars will receive up to $6,000 annually, based on the students unmet need. Please note, this requires a separate application process and is due by April 1, 2015.

The Hager Civic Engagement Scholars Program is also currently taking applications and the deadline is April 1, 2015. More information on the program is included in the previous link by selecting the Hager Application.
