OCTC WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS OFFERING FREE CITIZENSHIP CLASSES

Owensboro Community amp; Technical Colleges Workforce Solutions department is offering free Citizenship classes at the Downtown Campus located at 1501 Frederica Street, Owensboro. Interested participants should attend one orientation session from 11 a.m. 2 p.m. on Monday, May 18 or Tuesday, May 19 at OCTC, 1501 Frederica St. Room 7. Applicants need only attend one session and all parties should bring a green card, a photo ID and social security number.

This is a great opportunity to learn what you need to know for the Citizenship Test. We will prepare participants for U.S. History and Government portions of the exam. Students will have the opportunity to practice English reading, writing, speaking, and listening in a coaching environment. Participants will also get to experience and rehearse for the Citizenship Interviews, and we will review the information needed for the application.

There are two levels of instruction, a Beginner Class held on Monday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, May 20 through Wednesday, August 5. The Intermediate/Advanced Class will be held from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday beginning on Thursday, May 21 and running through Thursday, August 6. All classes will be held at OCTC, 1501 Frederica Street, Owensboro in Room 7.
