OCTCs BEARDMORE NAMED PHI THETA KAPPA DISTINGUISHED ADMINISTRATOR

Owensboro Community amp; Technical Colleges Kevin Beardmore, vice president of student affairs, was named one of 2015 Distinguished College Administrator Awards, presented by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society during Nerd Nation, the Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas, April 16-18, 2015. It is an honor to be recognized by Phi Theta Kappa, the national academic honor society for two-year colleges, due to the outstanding work of the students in our award-winning chapter led by Dr. Timothy Dick. commented Beardmore.

The Distinguished College Administrator Award is given to college vice presidents, deans or leaders other than college presidents/CEOs serving in an administrative capacity who have demonstrated a strong level of support for Phi Theta Kappa during their tenure. Nominees should have served in their position for at least five years as of December 4, 2014. Among the 2015 recipients, the average length of service is more than 14 years.
