OCTC's Greta McDonough a Published Author

Greta McDonough was one of the invited Kentucky authors to attend the third annual Gathering of Authors at the Paul Sawyier Library in Frankfort, Kentucky, August 21, 2010.

Over thirty writers were on hand to sign their books and to discuss their writing with attendees and the public. McDonoughs first book, Her Troublesome Boys: The Lucy Furman Story has just been published. The work is a biography for young readers, about Henderson native, Lucy Furman, and her work with little boys boarding at the Hindman Settlement School at the turn of the last century. McDonough also publishes a weekly features column in the Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer called From This Place To That. McDonough is a Professor at Owensboro Community amp; Technical College and is the program coordinator for the Human Services degree.
