Revealing Exciting game secrets

Discover College and the Mechatronics program at Owensboro Community and Technical College will host a game reveal for FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) on Sept. 30 from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Advanced Technology Center on the main campus. The public is invited to be the first to learn all the secrets about this new head-to-head competition theme for 2010-11.

FTC is a robotics competition for students ages 14-18. Each year the game is a new surprise to challenge students in scoring points and winning. The game this year has new twists, turns, and climbs. Teams and coaches are welcome to register for the competition at OCTC.

Teams located in the OCTC service area will be provided a robot for the competition season. In order to participate in the 2011 competition at OCTC, teams must pay a $125 site registration fee. For more information about this event contact Katie Walker at 852-8616.
