TALBOTT MEMORIAL RUN WILL BE SATURDAY APRIL 9

The Grant G. Talbott III Memorial Run - Owensboro Community and Technical Colleges 29th annual road race will be Saturday, April 9.

Race day registration and check in will be 7:30-8:30 a.m. at OCTCs main campus, 4800 New Hartford Road. All preregistered participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Shirt sizes not guaranteed for late registrants. Entry fee is $25 for participants and $10 for OCTC students.

This 5K race/walk will begin at 9 a.m. at Legion Park on East Byers Avenue and continue around Veach Road, ending at OCTC. Please park on campus. A complimentary shuttle will transport participants to the starting line.

Talbott served as a counselor and mentor at OCTC for 10 years after retiring from Owensboro High School. He was a friend and mentor to many during his lifelong commitment to education. Talbott coordinated the road race from 1998-2007.
