Pathfinder Day

Pathfinder Day is Friday, August 7, 2020, at 9 AM (last name A-J) and 11 AM (last name K-Z) at the OCTC Main Campus. It is an opportunity to provide new, readmitted, and transfer students information about the services and programs available to help them succeed, in an engaging and fun way. (Enter at the New Hartford Road entrance, across from WKU-Owensboro. Check-in begins at 8:30 AM.) *See full schedule below.

What's Next?

Check in at the Welcome Tent in the campus mall area and pick your sessions--we recommend starting with the Welcome session if you can! Select additional sessions of interest, learn your way around, and meet new people! Check out the map on the reverse side. Masks are required and we ask that you please respect 6’ physical distance from others.

Setup Your Online Account

Head over to the Learning Resource Center
(LRE) and visit the CyberCenter. Learn how to
set up your KCTCS account and how to access important applications such as MyPath, Email, Blackboard, Student Self-Service (PeopleSoft), Microsoft Office, and more.

Campus Bookstore

Stop by and check out OCTC gear, purchase or rent new and used textbooks, or opt for the e-version when available. Please bring a printed copy of your schedule and a photo ID! Financial aid charges begin on August 9.

Service Desk In LRE
Stop by anytime and visit the Learning Resource Center. Check in at the front desk and to get your student ID. Please bring a copy of your schedule and a government issued photo ID.

TRiO Opportunities

Students who join TRiO have higher GPAs
AND are more likely to graduate and transfer. Find out more about all the services and FUN opportunities you will have as a member. Eligibility considerations include frst generation college student OR income OR documented disability.

Students, Safety, & Security

Jef Hendricks, Director of Safety & Security
and OCTC’s Healthy At Work Ofcer, will present details on the Healthy at OCTC’s Welcome Back Plan, services provided by OCTC Safety and Security, and general safety and security tips.

Career Planning

Free career planning resources are provided by OCTC to all students. Don’t put it of – it afects your classes now. Learn about career options in our area (or anywhere!), including required skills and pay scales.

Where’s My Class?

ATC area
Visit Student Records and print a copy of your class schedule, OR download the KCTCS app (available for iOS and Android) and select Owensboro as your campus. You can access your schedule from your phone and learn the other features that may make your life easier! OCTC Team members will be on hand to direct you to the correct locations and answer any questions, look for the navy polo shirts!


10AM , 12PM in HUM 127 Meet the new Experiential Learning Center (ELC) Team! We ofer opportunities for students including job shadowing, mentorships, and internships. Join us and learn about Purple Briefcase, the easy to use and interactive OCTC custom tool for career success.
