OCTC Announces New Business and Industry Liaison

Owensboro Community and Technical College announces that Dr. Roger D. Vincent is the new Business and Industry Liaison for its Workforce Solutions Division. He has more than 30 years of experience in human resource management, training, organizational development, manufacturing technology, and technical writing.

Previously, Vincent owned Organizational Development Solutions, LLC, an organizational development and human resources consulting firm located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He has held key positions with industrial companies such as Alcan, British Petroleum, Halstead Industries, Logan Aluminum, Magna International, and SyGen.

Vincent has developed corporate wide appraisal systems, learning management systems, succession planning programs, and organizational restructuring plans for companies worldwide. While employed at Logan Aluminum, Vincent helped develop the Star Concept of team accountability and a pay for skills systems. He also developed Logan Aluminums peer appraisal system which included pre-hire assessment center technology, post-hire orientations and job content validity studies. In addition, he created and implemented an in-plant corporate university for 1,000 employees of Logan Aluminum. Vincent has written numerous technical manuals, employee handbooks, and computer-based operator manuals for companies such as Weyerhaeuser, Kobe Copper, Alcan, Worldcolor and Albaad.

Vincent holds a doctoral degree in labor and human resources and a masters degree in counseling and psychology from The Ohio State University.
