The Owensboro Community amp; Technical College Chorus will present a spring concert
on Monday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, located at 1328 Griffith
Avenue. In its twenty-eighth year under the direction of Professor of Music Dr. Connie
Ford and accompanied by piano instructor Angela Bruce, this community chorus will
perform works from the Renaissance to the present by composers that include Byrd,
Handel, Stopford, Stroope, Paulus, Rheinberger, and Gawthrop. The concert will, also
include works from the African-American gospel tradition by Thomas, Morris, and Smith.
The concert is free and open to the public.
