What is Radiography?

Radiologic Technologists play a critical role in healthcare, using advancing technology to perform diagnostic imaging. These services are often life-saving as early detection allows physicians to effectively treat cancer and other diseases. If you are a people person who enjoys learning about science and technology, OCTC's Radiography Program could be for you. This program utilizes a selective admission process. Applications for admission must be submitted between April 1st - May 1st, and a new class begins each fall. Students must achieve a minimum grade of C in each Radiography course. Graduates earn associate degrees and are eligible to take the exam required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) to become a registered radiologic technologist [R.T. (R)].

OCTC has a 2+2 Articulation agreement with the University of Southern Indiana if you want to continue your education. Contact OCTC Radiography Program Coordinator, Michelle Tudor for more information.
