High school students can get a jump start on their college journey, often at a reduced cost, through Discover College. This program with area high schools gives you a chance to really experience college before you graduate from high school. Many on-campus courses count for both college and high school credit. 

About Dual or Concurrent Credit

Dual credit courses allow you to leave your high school and attend classes at an OCTC campus. Concurrent dual credit courses allow you to remain in your high school classrooms and earn college credit.

How to Apply

Applying to OCTC’s dual-credit program is easy, and we’re here to help. Just follow these steps:

1. Submit the Application for Admission. It’s free, and it only takes about 15 minutes to complete.
    
2. Submit your scores from the ACT or SAT. If you haven’t taken either test, you can take placement tests instead.
    
3. Submit the Dual Credit Verification form. Be sure to sign the form, along with your high school counselor and a parent or guardian.
    
4. Sign up for courses! Contact us to schedule an appointment choose classes and enroll.
